What LimitWise does with your data
LimitWise reads usage and conversation information from the AI sites you are already logged into, in your own browser, to show your limits, move context between models, and optimize prompts. This processing happens on your device.
What we collect
For the core features, LimitWise does not collect, transmit or sell your personal data, conversations or usage statistics. There is no account required to track limits, hand off conversations or optimize prompts.
- Conversation context is processed locally and passed between your own browser tabs.
- Usage and tracking statistics are stored locally in your browser.
- Prompt optimization runs on-device; prompt text is not sent to a third-party server.
Permissions
LimitWise requests only the browser permissions needed to read usage on supported AI sites, open a target model for handoff, and store your settings locally. It does not access pages beyond the supported AI platforms.
Third parties
LimitWise is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI or DeepSeek. It interacts with their sites only within your own logged-in session.

If this policy changes, the updated date above will change. Material changes will be noted in the changelog.
